He praised the Director of the institution’s Information Technology Services (ITS) and his staff for their commitment to the Huawei project to the extent that the University has produced the best Huawei Trainer from 2018 to 2019 in Nigeria.
Speaking earlier, the Director of ITS, Dr. Mohammed Adamu stated that the Vice-Chancellor’s support to the ITS has been yielding fruitful collaborations among which is the Huawei partnership which has launched the University on the global map. He lauded Huawei for donating the equipment to the University, while revealing that the equipment would be deployed for its intended purpose.
The Deputy Director, ITS, Engr. Dr. Bala Alhaji Salihu made a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting the notable milestones of the partnership between Huawei and FUTMinna.
The list of the equipment donated are; 3 AR6280 integrated chassis, 1* SRU slot, 4* SIC slot, 2* WSIC slot, Service and Router Unit 400H, 5 units of BASE-T ports, 4* 10GE SFP PORTS, 1* expansion slot without power module, 15 sets of RJ45-to-DB9, Adapter Console Cable 3m, 50 sets of outsourcing cable, CAT6A Network, 16 units of single cable V.35 Serial port. Others include; 5 sets of 600W AC power module, 3 sets of 350W AC power module, 3 pieces of 8-Port Sync/Async Serial WAN Interface Card and 8 sets of power cable, Britain AC power cable 250V10A, 3.0M, PGAM, H05VV-F 1.0MM 2(3C), C13SF.
